Fan Theories Pt. 2

Disclaimer: Some of them actually have no answer to it.

A few months ago, I did a post about Fan Theories and I called it “Fan Theories Pt. 1” (link is below)

https://tvbookfilmreviewers.wordpress.com/2015/11/14/fan-theories-pt-1/

This is part 2.

Princess Bride

In the movie: Wesley had told Dread Pirate Roberts about Buttercup and was kept alive for that. Dread Pirate Roberts made Wesley the Dread Pirate Roberts (which is a code name)

This one is probably well known, but I brought it up on Reddit (Link in the subtitle). The premise of this idea is that The Dread Pirate Roberts heard the story of Buttercup and was touched, but still kills Wesley. He immediately regrets it and then looks for Buttercup in a way to repay Wesley, but never tells Buttercup (for obivous reasons).

“The Polar Express”

You meet a character on the roof on the train. He is a hobo, who is voiced by Tom Hanks. Along with the main boy, his dad, Santa and the Conductor.

I can’t find any reason for the hobo, but I have started thinking about who the Hobo could be:

  • An alternate version of either Billy or the hero boy if they never went on the train, they become bitter to life and became homeless and figures out time travel and makes sure his younger self gets on the train and disappears forever after. Counter-argument: Paradox! PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT TIMES SHOULD NEVER TOUCH!
  • The ghost of the original conductor who makes sure nobody ever falls off the train, because he’s a nice dude

Additional Theories I have no idea about:

  • When the Hobo disappears, why is the last thing remaining his hand?

Peanuts

This one is a silly, yet disturbing one. They’re all patients in an insane asylum in the ’50s. I refuse to type about, but it’s mind-blowing. Link is below

https://www.reddit.com/r/FanTheories/comments/22hkge/the_peanuts_gang_are_all_patients_in_a_1950s/

Doctor Who

  • From series 5, there is a huge alliance made of aliens who hate The Doctor. Prisoner Zero was the first to mention it. When the alliance comes, he is imprisoned, but Prisoner Zero was not there when the alliance imprisons The Doctor. Also, the Silence was part of it… everyone just forgot.
  • Midnight’s monster… who is it? I actually don’t know and neither does anyone else! Please help all of us!

Wizard of Oz

  • Oz is a parallel universe and the Wizard is Wonka after realizing he’s a failure… maybe?
  • Glinda is evil and was using Dorothy to get rid of her competition (like Grace Cahill may have in The 39 Clues)

Interstellar

  • One that overly bothers me: the poem “Do Not Go Gently Into That Good Night” is mentioned multiple times.
  • Another one that bothers a Reddit user: After being on the planet for 23 years, Cooper and Brand’s colleague was fine. He doesn’t go insane. HOW! HE WAS ALONE FOR 23 YEARS

Falling Into Place

I have two theories about this novel, but this spoils this novel heavily.

  • It’s all based on the last five chapters. Liz died and the end is what her imaginary friend wanted to happen and she’s fading into the ether forever and she trying to teach us all a lesson.
  • The other is that Liz is letting go of the imaginary friend and she is fading and she is teaching us all a lesson.

Edge of Tomorrow

  • That ending. That’s all I have to say. HOW DID HE RESTART TIME?! HE LOST IT!!!!!!

Sharkboy and Lavaboy

I have one theory, but it’s likely wrong… Max is a mutant and his power is he can create new worlds and people in that world.

Sherlock (BBC)

  • In episode one, the cab driver was immune to the poisonous pill (like “The Princess Bride” in the battle of the wits) and Sherlock would have died (for real)
  • In the end of Season 3, Mycroft says “You remember what happened to the other one?” who is this other person? The death of Moriaty? Irene Adler escaping? A third sibling?
  • Various discussions of Sherlock not dying and Moriaty not dying or actually dying.

Legend of Zelda

  • The timeline (Which in fact has been explained. Click here)
  • The game breaks the fourth wall and Link explains what’s going on to us. Click here

Mario

There’s one on Reddit and I really liked it, but it is somewhat disturbing BEWARE FELLOW HUMANS. Bowser is Peach’s dad and the king of the Mushroom Kingdom (Click here).

_________ is the true hero of ________. Or ____________ (perceived hero’s name) is the villain of _________

Always a fun theory to come across if you are familiar of said story. Honestly, just type into the Fan Theories subreddit search bar “is the true hero of”

Examples

  • Samwise is the true hero of Lord of the Rings (films)

This exists. I don’t know where. This is my personal favorite theory, because in a way, Frodo addresses that theory when Sam tells Frodo how famous he will become.

and various others

Wreck-It Ralph

This is maybe the only fan theory I made myself before I read it. Calhoun shot her husband as he got eaten by a Cyborg, which is incredibly sad.

The Incredibles

Kari playing Mozart causes Jack-Jack to get his powers. Click Here

The Ones I don’t have an answer and I need help for that

  • “The Polar Express” hobo’s hand
  • The monster from Doctor Who’s “Midnight”
  • The poem from “Interstellar”
  • Ending of “Edge of Tomorrow”
  • The other one from “Sherlock”

Feel free to break all my theories, or other people’s theories

Theories about The 39 Clues

DISCLAIMER: There is another general Fan Theories post coming. It’s just that The 39 Clues has a lot of mystery to it, so I’m giving 39 Clues a post to itself.

Madrigals: Who was, who wasn’t?

If you have read the entire first series of the 39 Clues, you understand that the Madrigals are a secret branch and they watch Cahills, and if they want to recruit a Cahill, they will give them a final test, and if they pass said final test, they would be told the history of the Madrigals, and become a Madrigal. It is not mentioned who could have been a Madrigal in the first place or during the series itself. I am going to examine each main character and historical figure of the first series in a Madrigal point of view, who weren’t already Madrigals.

The Beginning

The Clue Hunt itself was a final test for everyone who took the hunt and after the clues were found, all participants would become Madrigals, because after the first series, the younger generation (plus one) became Madrigals. Perhaps when the Madrigals felt that the clue hunter was ready they made them Madrigal.

Irina

At the end of “The Black Circle”, Irina tries to protect Amy & Dan and get them out of the Circle before Lucian guards came, but they did, but so did the Man in Black (Fiske Cahill, the head of the Madrigals) came to fight the Lucians. But he release Irina anyways. Why would he release Irina? The Madrigals had chosen the possible competitors, hoping to turn so of them into Madrigals (along with stopping the Vespers to find the clues as well), one of them Irina. There was about two or three days between the end of “The Black Circle” and “In Too Deep”, the Madrigals must have noticed that she began to change in “Beyond the Grave” when she doesn’t destroy the tomb with Amy & Dan in the tomb. So, they test her, between “Beyond the Grave” and “The Black Circle”, which was about a couple of days in between.

Jonah

In between “The Black Circle” & “The Viper’s Nest”, Jonah Wizard was never in the story at all, and his heart is out of the hunt by the end of “The Emporer’s Code” because how much he values human life. Maybe, at some point, he became a Madrigal, and realized the hunt was too much for him. A counter-arguement to that is when Dan reveals that he is a Madrigal, he is left shocked. HE’S AN ACTOR!  He can fake faces, and lie to his parents, who are way more into the hunt than Jonah. In “Storm Warning”, he is once again invisible. But in “Into The Gauntlet”, he’s really to work with anybody (other than the Kabras). The Madrigals are all about working together in between branches. Perhaps Jonah thought of a new way to get the clues, but he needed other people, like Dan Cahill, the person he knows the best, but also fellow Madrigal.

Hamilton

Hamilton was always the Holt who cared. But in “The Black Circle”, Hamilton aligns with Amy & Dan but his dad is very uneasy about the alliance. Even after the alliance is broken by his father, he is helping them behind his dad’s back. He’s always ready to work with Amy or Dan. But they are the only ones he is willing to help. I honestly think Hamilton was hunting clues with his heart, he wasn’t a Madrigal until after the Hunt.

Alistair

Off the bat, Alistair is making alliances left and right. None with anyone in his branch. But he was watching Grace for a long time. Why would Madrigals spy on each other? Then he has an alliance with Amy & Dan and the Kabras, in which the Kabras flip. He aligns with Amy & Dan again the next book, and again two books later. He is then arrested by his uncle, who thinks he’s lazy and going about the clue hunt the wrong way, but there could be more to it. Finally in “Into The Gauntlet” Alistair realizes that there was a love of human life that he never saw (Showing he was never a Madrigal until after the Gauntlet).

The Starlings

In “Maze of Bones” they get blown up and put in hospital and don’t appear until “Into the Gauntlet”. So no.

Grace was poisoned

Reading the 39 Clues again, Grace was dangerously close to finding all 39 Clues… and then she gotten cancer. It’s possible that she was poisoned by either a rival Cahill or a Vesper. It wasn’t Alistair. In “Maze of Bones”, he wanted to watch her for longer than he got to. Grace had many enemies in the Cahill family. They didn’t know that Grace would pull her other will, which triggers the clue hunt, meaning that the biggest threat in the Cahill family was taken out, meaning that someone else was super close to finding every clue, has an easier road to the clues.

Isabel & Vikram Kabra (Ian & Natalie’s parents) hatched the plan to take out her daugther, so would they take out her mother, who is much closer than they were to the clues? Also, in “Rapid Fire 2: Ignition”, Ian and Natalie already figured out that the post-funeral would be a huge clue hunt. Bae Oh was dangerously close and didn’t want his nephew to get the clues and he must have figured out that his nephew adored Grace, Cora Wizard may or may not have done something. Maybe Irina Spasky, who at the time was bitter had poisoned Grace. The Outcast may or may not be bitter about what happened between him and Grace and took out Grace. An unknown fact is that there was a Madrigal who was actually a Vesper had tried to infilrate the Madrigals other than Sinead Starling. She was in the cards. Her was Ana Kosara. She may have wanted the clues and poisons Grace and tries to steal her clues. The Vespers could have done it because he knew that the clues were almost found and Grace’s death would likely cause even more chaos in the Cahill family, letting the Vespers hunt clues without Cahills finding them. Also in “Rapid Fire 2: Ignition”, a Vesper poses as Cousin Ingird, a Cahill who turns down the hunt. Also, in “Rapid Fire: Legacy”, Amy & Dan were attacked by Vespers eight months before Grace dies, meaning that within 8 months the three most potentially powerful Cahills would all be gone. AND, Vesper One poisoned Astrid Rosenbloom, a Guardian.

The Rosenblooms (and possibly other Guardians) are actually Cahills

Astrid Rosenbloom was an incredibly smart woman, and so was Atticus, who had a good idea about what was going on with the Cahills. Jane Sperling was a Guardian and an incredibly sneaky lady. Guardians protect the doomsday device from ever being used. There’s a good chance that some generation had a child with a Cahill (possibly early in the Cahill timeline).  So, maybe the Guardians are Cahills as well.

J. Rutherford Pierce may have been a Vesper or was aligned with the Outcast

After Cahills vs. Vespers, Pierce who was disgusing Fiske Cahill had taken the serum. The only people in the world who had known about the clues were the Cahills and Vespers. There is a solid chance that Pierce was an Ekat or a Vesper agent and was a new part of the Council of Six.

MasterChef Jr. Season 4 Recap

Wow. What a season. It was predictable from the beginning that two girls would wind up at the end together. And as it is, it was Avery vs. Addison. The two A girls faced off.

In the end, it was Addison who won by a hair against Avery in perhaps the best ever MasterChef Jr. episode ever.

The chef report card:

Alexander: All I’m going to say is Alexander got screwed. He should not have gone home. His dish was better than Ian’s. His bandanna was fantastic. Also a good character as well. C+

Cade: No doubt the worst dish of the season, deserved to go home first, not a bad character all round. Worst chef of the season. F.

Annabelle: After episode one, people could have seen her as a power player this season and then she flamed out. D

Chad: Who? N/A

Vivian: Not that bad. Underrated. She was good in the first episode. Then she almost goes home episode two and she finally goes home episode three. C+

Kyndall: Great character, but not a good chef. C-

Jaeclyn: That hat is all anyone will remember of her. Somewhat useless. E

Adam: Who? N/A

Derek: Had no shot at all. E-

Nate: The mad scientist himself, good character, had a great shot to win but winds up as an early boot. Would’ve won another season. Still crying he didn’t make top ten, very underrated. B-

Mia: Not too bad, but she was a good chef in the season, in any other season, could have won. C+

Tae-Ho: Great chef, underrated as well. He was a good character. B-

Ian: Not a good chef at all, should have gone home episode one, but he was a fantastic character. C

Jesse: Great character, and he was great with desserts. B

Corey: Was only visible when he was any good or in danger. Not great, somewhat overrated. D+

Kaitlyn: I said most of the chefs before were underrated, but Kaitlyn was the most underrated chef this season. A-

Kamilly: Not a bad chef, but she was not great. C+

Sam: That mohawk! He turned down a job with Christina, the boy has guts. B+

Kya: The best chef who didn’t get to the end of the season. Easily could have won. Maybe the fan favorite. Got screwed in the final six. A

JJ: Who? N/A

Amaya: Somewhat annoying and wasn’t that bad or that good. C+

Zac: Invisible in the middle of the season, but could have won it all. B+

Avery: Laughs galore, great chef, candidate for fan favorite of the season, easily could have, and maybe should have won. A+

Addison: Brilliant character, dare I say it, a predictable winner (I picked her as my winner episode one) https://tvbookfilmreviewers.wordpress.com/2015/11/07/masterchef-junior-season-4-preview-or-premiere-recap/. Massive downfall at final eight, until the finale and she cut her finger and made the huge comeback. A+

My post-episode one predictions:

Winner: Addison

CORRECT.

Also had a good shot: Sam, Avery, Zac, Mia, Jesse.

Mostly right.

No Shot: Ian, Adam

Nailed it.

Favorites: Avery, Addison, Mia

Mostly right. Mia was boring. Updated: Avery, Addison, Kya.

Final Season Questions:

BEST COOK: Avery or Addison

WORST COOK: Cade

MOST UNDERRATED COOK: Kaitlyn or Kya

FUNNIEST MOMENT: The marshmallow shower

BEST CHARACTER: Avery

MOST SCREWED: Alexander and Kya

BEST EPISODE: Finale

WORST EPISODE: Final Six

WORST PART OF SEASON: Addison was the predictable winner.

BEST CHALLENGE: The croquembouche. I will say, that it should be a challenge in any version, any season. Also the child cookbook challenge.

That’s it. The fourth MasterChef Jr. season is finally over. I will be back for MasterChef Canada 3

Could Frozen & Mulan have the same theme?

Two great Disney animated films in Mulan Frozen have some certain similarities.

First off: Let’s look at the plot of the film.

Frozen

A young girl has powers and accidentally almost kills her sister, runs away because she thinks it’s best for her homeland and eventually accepts her powers and finally becomes accepted in her homeland.

Mulan

A girl, who is different to the other girls whose father is going to train for the upcoming war, but is old/injured, so she runs away to save her father from almost certain death and accepts her true self as a warrior and returns home and is accepted by her family.

Despite the being made 15 years apart, Frozen Mulan have are very similar to each other.

Top 5 Kids Films (Pixar not with standing)

Yesterday I did a Top 5 Kids book series’s. Time to to TOP 5 KIDS FILMS! .

5. Robots

Yes, Robots is a hilarious movie. It has an all-star cast in Ewan McGregor, the late Robin Williams, Halle Berry, Mel Brooks. But it’s a bit played up more for kids than adults.

4. Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Yes, it`s inaccurate but it`s just good. The plot is fun and just the acting skills of the children are just good. And then two stars in Tilda Swinton (the White Witch) and Liam Neeson (Aslan) was just … so good. It`s not higher because of how long it is.

3. Big Hero 6

I love Big Hero 6. It`s just funny. Very quotable (Badalalala). The plot is very good, deserved of the 2014 Animated Feature Award at the Oscars and anyone who thinks BH6 is not as good as the LEGO Movie, just… no! Anyways… a bunch of plot twists and all that. The reason it`s not higher is the top 2 are just… better.

2. Nim’s Island

Nim’s Island is a great movie and the adventure of a little girl and how she survives by herself and fend off adults throughout a week is just so good. And animal teachers. What can beat that?

Why it’s not #1? Only because #1 is one of my favorite films of all time.

1.Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium

Such a great movie. Shows a man over 200 running a shop of toys… and he’s about to die and pass his shop to his lovely assistant who doesn’t believe in herself and a boy who works at the shop but has no friends and an accountant who doesn’t believe in magic.

It’s a wonderful movie about how life really is wonderful. This film is really funny and it’s a very serious film as well. It teaches anyone that life is funny and we need to believe in ourselves.

Another reason, adults would love it too!

Honorable Mentions:

  • Nanny McPhee
  • Bridge to Terbithia
  • Peter Pan (Cartoon)
  • Flushed Away
  • Tangled
  • Frozen (?)

Dishonorable Mentions:

  • Shrek
  • Shark Tale
  • Cars
  • Cars 2
  • WALL-E

Top 5 Books series for Children

This is the first of a two part series on Children fiction. Today, I will be declaring the TOP 5 BOOKS SERIES FOR CHILDREN.

5. The Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo

As much as how Harry Potter is famous, Charlie Bone tried to be another Harry Potter. I read Charlie Bone before I tried to read Harry Potter, but I liked Charlie Bone so much, I decided to stop reading Harry Potter. Charlie Bone is in a family tree of magic and ancient family feuding. It’s has a lot of epicness and action and it’s funny.

4. The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan

A lot of people say that The Kane Chronicles was the worst of Rick Riordan, but I truly believe that the best of Riordan’s work was The Kane Chronicles. The use of Egyptian gods was very interesting, all the magic and ancient underlying lines were brilliant.

3. The Door Within series by Wayne Thomas Batson

The Door Within is brilliant because it takes children from our world today to a medieval parallel world and it has a king, many wars, a deep storyline about battle.

2. The 39 Clues: Cahills Vs. Vespers by various authors

The 39 Clues series one was a flaming success, so they decided to do it again! It has a lot of action and the Vespers are just mad, and they are built up as villains but you do feel bad for them. The Cahills are all built up as great characters and it’s funny.

1.The 39 Clues: The Clue Hunt by various authours

The first 39 Clues will always be my favorite book series of all time and the story of Dan & Amy is just brilliant of their globe-trotting adventures to find the 39 Clues to discover the greatest secret of power.
